Current Context
The conversation among retirement plan marketers these days focuses on the incredible shrinking marketing function and jettisoning the function into the customer experience or the corporate departments. Today’s marketing functions are more aligned with the specific functions of the deliverables – digital, social, in person, etc. How are we adapting to this to bring the client the best experience in the market – at a time when the pressures to educate and advise upcoming retirees is at such a critical point.
Last year, attendees collaborated on an approach to formulate a futuristic vision of the world by the year 2025. Firms in attendance can use the foresight developed from this exercise to identify the skills and resources they need to acquire to maintain a competitive edge or a leading innovator position for the next five years.
The “Horizon 2025” vision report provides context for our industry and the marketing function in response to future developments in artificial intelligence, robotics, communications technology, communication, transportation, 3-D visuals, 3-D printing, social media, and other innovations supporting sustainable development.
